For over 8 years, I worked at The Upper Deck Company, where I built a strong foundation in high-impact design within the fast-paced world of sports and entertainment. Known for its premium quality and authenticity, Upper Deck is a leader in trading card production across major leagues including the MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, and entertainment franchises.
During my time at The Upper Deck, I was responsible for the conceptualization and design of custom logos, trading cards, packaging, marketing campaigns, event materials, and collector-focused products. Working on high-profile licensed properties, designing cards that balanced brand fidelity, storytelling, and standout visuals for some of the world’s most recognized athletes and celebrities.
My role extended well beyond design. I regularly attended press checks, on-site photo shoots, and traveled for events and athlete signings to ensure brand integrity across all touchpoints. Collaboration was at the heart of the job—I worked cross-functionally with athletes, translators, photographers, writers, artists, and internal creative teams to bring each product to life, from ideation to final production.
Projects often required balancing speed, precision, and creativity while maintaining consistency with league requirements and collector expectations. The experience sharpened my ability to work across a wide variety of formats—from limited-edition foil-stamped inserts to retail packaging and large-scale promotional pieces.
This role gave me deep exposure to licensed brand work, premium product design, and the kind of detail-focused execution that only comes with producing items for a passionate collector audience.
